He turned the corner to find Thayer at the kitchen sink, paused with a washcloth between their hands. They stared at him for a long moment, an indescribable expression on their face.
Dain raised an eyebrow. "...What?" Had he said something wrong? Had his mask shifted?
Thayer shook their head, turning away from him. "...Nothing." They respond after a long moment of silence, and Dain catches a glimpse of the small smile on their face. "Welcome home."
