Summary
He doesn’t look up as the door clicks behind him, nor when Buck crouches beside him. He can feel Buck’s gaze on him, can feel his warmth, but Eddie still refuses to look.
Buck’s scent surrounded him completely, battling over the other one’s still clinging to him. He smelt like home.
“Eddie…” Buck’s tone was gentle, and the touch on his shoulder even more so. “Eddie, please look at me.”
There was something in Buck’s tone that made him obey, made him glance shyly up at the other man.
“Buck… Buck, what’s wrong with me?” Eddie choked off a sob before it could escape.
“How much do you know about heats Eddie?”

Summary
Watching Buck drive without leaning over the console and throwing himself into Buck’s lap a truly Herculean task. Because, as Eddie realizes when Buck places his hand behind Eddie’s headrest to back out of the driveway, sleeves rolled up to his forearm and his biceps straining against the fabric, teeth flashing as he smiles at Eddie with all the adoration in the world, Buck is extremely hot when he drives.
Buck is there for him, in all the ways that matter, and Eddie finds it so sexy.

Summary
“Wanna dance?” Eddie asks, leaning only slightly away to look at Buck. He’s smirking now, eyes traveling all over Buck’s face, taking in his expression and the color blooming on his cheeks.
There’s a look in Eddie’s eyes now, one that Buck hadn’t quite seen before this trip. Or had he? Did it just not mean to him then what he realizes, or thinks, it means now? Regardless, it confirms a thought that has been niggling at the back of his mind all night.
Flirting. Eddie was flirting with him.
or, Buck visits Eddie in Texas a few months after he leaves LA. They road trip to Austin with Adriana to stay with Sophia, who has planned a night out on the town that none of them will soon forget - especially Buck and Eddie.

Summary
Eddie spots his mother first, standing near the living room with a glass of wine frozen halfway to her mouth. Her eyes track from Eddie's face to Buck's face to their joined hands, and Eddie watches her go through the five stages of grief in the span of two seconds.
Her right hand moves automatically, decades of muscle memory taking over as she touches her forehead, then her chest, then her left shoulder, then her right, her lips pressing together as she mutters what Eddie can only assume is a prayer for his immortal soul.
Across the room, Eddie catches Shannon's eye. She's standing by the fireplace with a drink in her hand and Chris at her side, and she looks like she's having to physically restrain herself from applauding. Her free hand is pressed over her mouth, shoulders shaking with laughter. When she catches Eddie looking she raises her glass in a tiny salute, eyes sparkling with mischief.
Chris, bless him, has no such restraint. His face splits into a massive grin and he turns to his mother and says, in a voice that is so loud it echoes, "Mom, you didn't tell me Dad's boyfriend was cool."

Eddie hears Buck talking softly with Theo in the background as he grabs Adriana and Sophia’s arms.
‘’Not a word to him,’’ he hisses at his sisters.
‘’About what?’’ Adriana smirks.
‘’About whatever you think this is. It’s not that.’’
His heart is beating so fast that he’s convinced that if anyone were to take his pulse right now, they would’ve wanted to admit him to the hospital.
‘’Oh, and what is it then Edmundo?’’ Sophia teases.
‘’And stop calling me that!’’
‘’I’ll stop calling you that when you stop being stupid mi hermano,’’ Sophia snickers again.
Eddie yanks on his hair. ‘’I’m in hell. I’m in actual hell.’’

Or: Pepa makes an embellished comment that Buck and Eddie adopted Theo (they did not, they are not together yet lol) to Adriana and Sophia and the Diaz sisters surprise visit their brother in LA. Chaos ensues. Christopher is a chaos gremlin. Theo is completely innocent – he just wants to be a ring 🐻. Buck and Eddie are still dumb af. Sophia and Adriana are done with them.Series
