Summary
I am promising at least 100k words for this fic (so stay tuned)!
Dr. Grace does not remember his dreams, and hasn't for his entire life. On it's way to Erid, the Hail Mary gains another passenger, a mysterious man pulled from a metal artery. Finding trouble explaining away the unexplainable, Grace has to balance befriending Simon, getting used to Eridian culture shock, and fighting his own demons. It seems manageable till Grace starts hallucinating as well.

Summary
Simon just irradiated 3 people and got dropped back into the blood ocean. He'd love to wallow in his mistakes, but there's something shifting just behind the wall...
Ryland Grace does not know that "Ryland Grace" is his name, nor does he know where he is or who the hell this scrappy man is next to him.
(Freshly amnesia-d Grace appears in the SM-13, and now they BOTH have to deal with it)

So, he doesn't

Summary
Pain is a language Simon speaks fluently.
He was born in it, from it, in a world that bites more often than it barks. He knows the cold burn of the knife, the strangling twist of the rope, the sickening crunch of the bone.
He knows pain. This is different.
This is not the discordant singing of damaged nerves, nor the dull throb of crushed tissues trying to heal.
This is reality unravelling. This is him unravelling, his very soul being unmade and remade, over and over again. Shattered and then glued back wrong.

"Hi, Captain."
It is the last thing that you heard before your Head Engineer, your best friend, tried to kill you.
It's fine though. You've killed him plenty of times. You'll get through this.
The two of you just need to
