Summary
Ragatha goes on a baking-spree after she realizes that she hasn't yet shared any of her recipes with Pomni, setting out to spoil her favorite jester rotten.
As the tension of their mutually undefined but more-than-friends relationship reaches its limit and old wounds reopen, Pomni struggles to finally say to Ragatha's face that she loves her.
Intended as a continuation of Midnight Sunshine, but should still make sense on its own.

It was absolutely unremarkable. Some girl talking to herself as she explored a building that she was clearly bored of. Nothing special.
Jax… knew that voice, though. It made all of the difference. He wanted her to say something else-- he needed her to say something else. He could hear his heartbeat in his ears. In the back of his mind, he could hear a jester-looking girl laughing at something stupid he said.
(Or: After escaping the circus, Jax finds himself back in the unchanged real world. Unfortunately, the relationships he'd made-- and didn't make-- in the Circus continued to nag at him.)

A dark city lit only by neon and street lamps. Rain passing overhead hitting the umbrellas of the crowds bellow. Two detectives who absolutely didn't want to be there. Jax and Pomni often played along with whatever Caine wanted but a surprise detective adventure didn't really seem up their alley. For once they in agreement, so they found something else to do.
