Summary
It's Zanka Nijiku's first day in foster care. Can he even call himself a NIjiku anymore? He's not sure. All he knows is his family found out he *might* be a girl and then he was disowned. Now he's stuck living with some weird rich model named Enjin and his equally weird daughter Riyo and their plethora of stray animals. It's weird and too much for Zanka to handle, especially considering his *possible* visibility issues.

Summary
Zanka should have known that a letter from his family could only mean disaster. He knew it the moment he saw the pristine Nijiku seal, but what good was that knowledge when he had to open it anyway?
Worse, he had to open it in front of Semiu, Corvus, Enjin THE Enjin Riyo, and even that stupid Spherite. Semiu knew exactly what he would do once he read the contents: burn the letter and pretend it had never arrived. So she forced him to read it out loud.
The message was simple.
The Nijiku family wanted him back.
While the others immediately refused to let him go, Zanka was the only one who truly understood what that meant. If his family had decided to reclaim him, there would be no hiding, no escaping, and no fighting his way out of it.
As panic closed around his throat and his carefully built life began to crumble, Zanka realized one terrifying truth
he was already cooked.

Steve feels every bone- every muscle in his body light on fire as the claw pierces Dustin in the stomach, coming out in one fell swoop and continuing on its path of destruction.
But it just hit Dustin.
Oh god. Jesus fuck Dustin is hit his little brother just got hit.
“No,” Steve rasps out as his world crumbles before his eyes. “No, no, no no no DUSTIN-“
Steve takes off faster than he ever has in his life, leaving the rest of the party in the dust as he desperately tries to make it towards his person. Nothing fucking matters anymore. Not the mission, not the kids, not Vecna. Only Dustin.
Because Steve can’t do this without him. You die I die. That’s the deal. And Steve is a man of his goddamn word.

What if Dustin had gotten hit by the mindflayer in the abyss?
