Summary
Merlin survived Camelot, magic bans, dragons, and several centuries of human stupidity only to get dragged back into wizarding chaos because of a haunted teacup and a screaming Albanian turnip.
Now he’s accidentally befriended Harry Potter, insulted Gilderoy Lockhart on sight, intimidated Lucius Malfoy without trying, and somehow agreed to teach History at Hogwarts.
Unfortunately for everyone involved, “Marlin Ambrosius” is very tired, deeply protective, and absolutely not getting emotionally attached to another disaster child.

Professor Marlin Ambrosius talks to doors when he thinks nobody is listening. He threatens suits of armor for “bad attitudes.” He once spent twenty minutes arguing with a staircase because it “knew what it did.”
Nobody knows where he came from.
Nobody knows how Dumbledore hired him.
And nobody understands why the castle seems to like him.

Summary
