    "It takes me another moment before I realize that I wasn’t hurting from the fall. There’s no struggle to get air back into my lungs. I’ve tumbled end over end, and sort of landed upright. All my limbs are sprawled in every direction.
    Rocky skitters down to my level, right up against the xenonite. “Grace fall! Hurt question? Okay okay okay?”
    With all my brainpower, I focus on responding. 'Y-ye-es,' I manage to chirp. I freeze. Process.
    That was definitely not English. Or any other human language. I didn’t move any muscles to speak.
    'Y-ees,' I say again, and the same chirping note comes out. Inside me, I feel the shifting of five gas-filled… things. That note came from me. But it sounded like Rocky."
