Going backward in time was a little jarring.
Stumbling forward, Tony caught himself on the side of a building, before bending over and heaving a little. His stomach cramped painfully, a little unhappy apparently, about the trip.
“Ugh,” he moaned, happy to have not added any more vomit to the alleyway than was already full of it. “Jesus,” he muttered, pushing off from the wall and trying to get his head on straight.
Strange did warn him that time travel wasn’t just some easy peasy thing. That your body didn’t and wouldn’t like being hurtled through space and time.
But it was worth it, always worth it.

Summary
The first time Peter Parker meets (some of) the Avengers, it's in a sewer and/or warehouse-he wasn't able to get a good look at the place, sue him for his uncertainty-after he had (apparently) gotten kidnapped.
The first time the Avengers meet Spider-Man, he's calling them jerkwads from the top of Hawkeye's roof... according to Hawkeye. In Peter's humble opinion, rooftops are communical property among vigilantes, especially during alien invasions.
OR
Seven times the Avengers were confused about Spider-Man's identity, and one time his identity was revealed.
(A story told over the course of seventeen years, seven different world-ending catastrophes, and a kidnapping.)

“Where am I?” he mutters. Adrenaline is flooding through his body. His heart is beating so terribly that he can feel it inside his chest. His entire body has broken out in a cold sweat. And somehow, despite it all, his spidey-sense is dead silent. What does it know that the rest of his body doesn’t?
“Our apartment,” says the man. He’s standing now. Peter didn’t notice when he got to his feet. “Can you tell me who you are, sweetheart?”
Peter laughs, incredulous. He’s not exactly sure what he’s laughing at. “Peter,” he says. “Of course, I know who I am.”
“Okay,” the man says, sounding just as concerned and careful as before. “But you don't know who I am?”
Or: Peter gets amnesia, wiping out the last 5 years of his life. But really, how much can change in five years?

Summary
Peter Parker knows for a fact that smart kids always know they're smart. Another thing he knows: it fucking sucks to be a smart kid. It means being watched all the time, it means adults peering down their noses, it means tests and homework and boredom. It means fieldtrips to Oscorp and superpowers. It means watching Ben die, knowing exactly whose fault it is. It means an internship at Stark Industries, it means becoming an Avenger, it means getting dusted, coming back, watching another father figure die, watching him come back. It means holding May's hand while she babbles incoherently, inching towards death. It means magic spells and forgetting and seven years of lonely vigilanteism. It means making wrong choice after wrong choice after wrong choice.
One thing Peter Parker knows for sure? Smart kids grow up to be the dumbest adults.
