Summary
Itachi was crying.
He didn’t cry, had never cried in all the years Kakashi had known the kid and he’d known Itachi at his lowest. Yet his voice was coming out choked, his arms trembling where he tried to squeeze Sasuke to his body. He should have known. Sasuke was always his weakest point, the one thing he fought for no matter what. To find out his brother had been hurt, been getting hurt under his nose for who knew how long was every fear Itachi had ever had.
(A non-massacre AU (ish) where Sasuke joins the seduction squad as his specialty and doesn't tell anyone until years later when the truth comes out.)

Summary
On the brink of ruin, Itachi is forced to make a decision that will change the course of the future: He aids his father, and the entire Uchiha clan, in the operation of a coup d'état against the leaders of Konoha.
