Will thinks for a moment, biting his lip and picking at his fingernails, before looking at Mike with a mysterious glint in his eyes. There's a rosy tint to his cheeks, and Mike has to stop himself from leaning over and biting them.
“Do you want to play Mario Kart again tonight?”
Mike and Will play video games. Just for fun. Totally, totally not as an excuse to get naked.

An impatient sigh escapes Mike's throat, “Will. I kind of just wanted to hang with you.”
Will's heart aches at the way he says it. Why couldn't he have just been a good best friend and not lock himself away from everyone?
Will turns his head, studies him and takes a deep breath. “I’m sorry, Mike.” A sadness washes over him looking at Mike's expression. Something is bothering him. “Are- Are you okay? Is there something you wanna talk about?”
Mike looks down, drawing in the sand with his fingers. Then looks at Will, moving his mouth around in a nervous way. “It’s not something specific. I just needed you.”
Will's heart almost sprints out of his ribs. Needed him? Mike needed him?
“What's going on Mike? Talk to me.”
OR
The two nights before Mike gets married will be marked as the nights that changed Mike and Will forever. Truths get brought up, and its just what they need. Even if that means they do something they shouldn't.

Mike walks home a drunken Will who rambles about Mike’s nose the whole way— how big it is, how handsome it looks. When they finally reach their shared dorm, Will slurs out, "I really wanna sit on it," before flopping onto their couch and passing out.
Or: Mike realizes he kind of wants his best friend of sixteen years to sit on his face.
