Summary
“What you thinking so hard about?” Clark asked, his large hand coming to rest lightly on Bruce’s thigh.
Bruce blinked out of his reverie, turning to look at Clark’s profile as the man focused on the road. His curls fluttered around in the breeze of the AC, and his eyes sparkled with energy from the sun. Clark’s red flannel shirt that Bruce pretended to hate was rolled up to his elbows, unintentionally showing off his powerful forearms. To Bruce, he was the most gorgeous man in the world.
“You.” Bruce replied, uncharacteristically sentimental.
He was rewarded with Clark’s small, shy smile, and traces of red colouring his cheeks, tracing up to the tips of his ears. Clark didn’t respond, and Bruce took some satisfaction in his ability to render Clark speechless, but he felt Clark’s love all the same, the other man gently squeezing his thigh.
“Get a room!” Dick gagged from the back, wriggling around with his seatbelt.
Bruce hit his head back against the headrest once more. It would be a long twenty minutes to Smallville.

Summary
He was smiling as he explained his intentions for the schools, and the interviewer, Michael, had been smiling too, asking all the right questions for Bruce to expound on his answers. There was a good rapport between them, and Bruce had let himself relax slightly, his posture easing from the ram-rod straight back he had begun with to something more natural. Michael had smiled, looking down at his notepad, scribbling something with his pen as Bruce had cited lowering youth crime in the Narrows as one of the potential benefits of the schools.
“Do you think this kind of initiative could have prevented the death of your youngest son, Jason?”
It was as if all the air had been sucked out of the room.
“What?” Bruce breathed, his heartbeat pounding in his ears.

“Leave.” Bruce said, his body tense.
Ghost-Maker stepped closer, his white cape swirling delicately in the wind. He stood out sharply in the heavy smog of Gotham, an almost angelic figure filtering through the smoke, so different from Bruce’s suit. Batman was designed for stealth in the dark recesses of the city, a haunting figure cloaked by the night, his glinting weapons a promise of the pain he would inflict on the scum smothering his city. Ghost-Maker’s white suit was a message. It was an unpainted canvas; he wasn’t afraid to soak himself in blood in his pursuit of justice and let the whole world see it.
“No.” Ghost-Maker replied, and despite the helmet, Bruce just knew there was a cocky grin on his face.

Clark turned to face him, and Bruce could pinpoint the moment he registered his clothing, with the harsh intake of breath, the dilation of his eyes. Bruce bit down a smirk.
“What? Something on my face?”
“Bruce,” Clark replied, his voice almost a moan. “Bruce, baby.”
Bruce simply tilted his head in faux confusion before letting his hand slide down his body, his fingers playing with the hem of the shirt. Clark stumbled over to him, his hands instantly finding Bruce’s waist and his thumbs rubbing over the fabric.
