Summary
Henry’s eyes widen, just a smidge, when Hans’ slender fingers hover over the wolf statue in the left corner of the desk.
He remembers when it became their symbol, their little thing—a permission for Henry to become a beast in human flesh and do anything he wants.

Summary
The blanket falls down around Hans' hips as he sits up over Henry, grinning. "A full day is twenty-four hours, Hal. This—" he waves the note around, "—says any time until this time tomorrow."
"I hate it when you get pedantic," Henry groans.
Henry gets used for a day. Hans gets his favorite stress release in the form of one master blacksmith.

Summary
“I can’t take it anymore. I can’t -”
“Soon,” Henry whispers, and Hans trembles. Bastard. Whoreson. God he loves him.
The sound cuts through the room like a thunderbolt. Hans's head jumps up, a restless panic rising, as three knocks echo through the room. His eyes widen suddenly, aware that they are naked, easily found in this room where anybody could walk in.
“Leave it,” Hans stares up at Henry, his senses reforming, the room coming back into shape.
“Now, now, what if it is important?”
“You can't be serious? What if they see me?” Hans says.
---
Hans is tied to a bed; that doesn't stop Henry from doing errands for the local villagers.

Summary
“You a sore loser, m’lord? Gonna make me chase you again, just to lose once more?”
There’s a challenge in his voice, a defiant tilt to his chin where he sizes Hans up. Hans watches him push sweaty hair out of his eyes, revealing a dark smudge under one cheek, and wonders if it’s dirt or blood from their little scuffle.
Hans swallows. “Once more,” he says simply. “Chase me.”
Catch me, he doesn’t say.Or, Hans finds himself on the other side of the hunt.
