Summary
The tip jar lurks discreetly on the counter, TRAVEL FUND loudly sharpied in red. The words float above a cartoon donkey sticker sporting a shirt that proclaims, Hee Haw! Get yer ASS in gear! The tip jar gets way more action than Wei Ying does, Wen Qing likes to tease. He laughs; of course he laughs. He laughs at everything.
At night though, he's all laughed out. Tip jar money is used for noodles and wine, and the leftovers become pocket money he sends to his favorite 14 year old musician.
Is it weird to wish for more, to want more, but to just hang around waiting… just...waiting? He couldn't even say what he was waiting for.
Or: Wei Ying is in love. He just hasn’t realized it yet.
