Maedhros is fearful and suspicious and wants nothing more than to escape his fate. Fingon is hopeful and desperate to make this marriage work. Family feuds are not so easily dismissed. Assumptions and prejudices are not easily forgotten. And love takes years of work before it begins to take root.A tale of animosity, fear and anger, and how it blooms into a love between two unlucky people. But how does one win the love of someone they've been taught to hate?

Everyone knows that Maedhros will eventually inherit the crown. And while those who believed Feanor would decline the crown to focus on his craft were optimistic, it wasn't erroneous to say at some point in the next millennia or two, Maedhros would be King. So whoever married him, logically, would be the next best thing to King.
Co-King. King-Consort. Man Queen?
Fingon would workshop the title once he had it.

Summary
I like this premise of Fingon needing to win Maedhros back by courting him so much that I’ve made notes for several follow-up stories in this same AU (which is why I am planning to create a new series for it). I am not sure if I will ever end up writing any of those stories, but I will be much more likely to do so if readers let me know that they would be interested in reading sequels to this story. I have jotted down notes for: 1) the “Fingon bringing Maedhros lunch on First Day” story; 2) a Fingon taking Maedhros to his mountain lodge story; and 3) a story wherein Fingon encounters a new nemesis in the form of Maedhros’ protective pet snake, Lucky (which is short for ‘isn’t it lucky he’s not venomous anymore’).
I have also written down notes for several different ways that Fingon might finally convince Maedhros to accept his proposal of marriage. In addition, I have notes for a number of other conversations that might take place on Vingilot the same night as “Marry Me,” after Maedhros goes belowdecks with Elrond.
I am interested in any ideas that readers might want to share for what they’d like to see happen in any sequel(s) to this story.
