OR Wei Wuxian and Lan Wangji live at 2 totally separate times and Wei Wuxian dies as the hated YLLZ before Lan Wangji is even born.

Summary
Jiang Wanyin had claimed Wei Wuxian left when they were sleeping, that they had planned on going back to Lotus Pier, to fight against the Wen stronghold that was there, to reclaim the bodies of Jiang Fengmian and Yu Ziyuan - and Wei Wuxian had fled, run, disappeared, vanished.
He claimed that he woke up, and Wei Wuxian was gone, not a single trace of him in the space they had found to sleep in.
Immediately, others were giving Jiang Wanyin their condolences for having such a disobedient disciple, for Wei Wuxian fleeing in the night after everything he had caused, leaving the aftermath to be faced alone by Jiang Wanyin.
Lan Wangji had never believed such a story.

He watches as Wei Ying starts, watches his lips part, watches as his eyes flick over Lan Zhan, taking him, the slacks that are less fitted than the feminine cuts he usually wears, the button down shirt with its buttons on the right side marking it unmistakably as being from the men's section, the vest which adds masculine style while also helping to disguise the shape of his bust, the telltale line of his binder peeking out from between the open top buttons of his shirt.
And even if all the rest of it could be passed off as him experimenting with butch styles or something, the binder is the give away. Wei Ying isn't stupid and he has enough trans friends to know what he's looking at.
OR Bi Wei Wuxian X Trans Man Lan Wangji where Lan Wangji thinks Wei Wuxian is straight and is terrified of coming out to him because he thinks that Wei Wuxian will break up with him if he finds out.

The slow rise of Wei Ying’s head is agonizing. It speaks to dullness, or perhaps to exhaustion – things Lan Wangji has never associated with Wei Ying who is colour and vibrancy and life, who blazes bright as the sun and raises heat with his smile. And that is irritating and it is unharmonious but like a creeping vine Wei Ying has begun to work his way into Lan Wangji’s life, bringing cuts and bruises and flowers and fruit. It is unexpectedly painful, to see him diminished.

In the end, it had been the Yiling Patriarch’s stratagems and his fierce fighting which had turned the tide of the war. He had killed both Wen Ruohan’s sons, and floored the traitor so that Meng Yao could strike the final blow. His status as the strongest warrior on the field had been undeniable.
Thus, the offer extended to him by the Lan court. Take his place as the Emperor’s consort, the only one permitted to lay hands upon the Emperor, the only one to share his bed with him while he sleeps, unaware and vulnerable. His last, best line of defense.
Or: Forced by his court to accept a consort, Lan Wangji is certain he has seen enough of the so-called Yiling Patriarch to know what he's getting: an uncouth ruffian. Slowly, he begins to realise that even an emperor's assumptions can be misplaced.
