"You... you..." Eggchan stammered through his fingers, trying to regain his last shred of composure, but his knees had begun to tremble. He slowly lowered his hand and swallowed hard. "Wifies? Are you really Wifies?"
The faint phantom didn't look aggressive at all. His face retained its gentle features from before, except that his skin was deathly pale and his dull eyes lacked their usual vitality.
Wifies tilted his head slightly, the scruffy brown tail behind his back wagging once in a slow motion, stirring the dust motes floating in the air.
"Yeah, I'm Wifies," he answered, his voice sounding distant and echoing. "But... it seems you're the only one who can see me? I followed Parrot all morning, and he couldn't hear me calling him at all."
Hearing Parrot's name, Eggchan shuddered. He recalled Parrot's thin appearance and his droopy, untrimmed wings in the schoolyard earlier.
"Parrot... didn't see you?"

"You can see me, right?"
Eggchan froze. His heart skipped a beat, and he blinked. In front of him was no longer a void, but the eyes of someone who shouldn't exist here.
He was no longer a faint shadow standing behind Parrot. Wifies stood there, manifested so clearly that Eggchan could see strands of translucent brown hair fluttering in the wind, a wind only the dead can feel.
Eggchan took more time than usual to react; he averted his eyes, trying to cling to the last remnants of silence.
"Man, you've been looking at me for over five seconds." Wifies chuckled, catching him in the act. Usually, Eggchan only stole curious glances for a second or two, but this time, his shock had betrayed him.

* DURING THE FAKE IDENTITY ARC *
Wemmbu is walking around. He sees his invisibility is running low. With nothing more than a few potions left, he makes the decision to walk into the nearest potion shop to refill his stock.
The shop keeper being parrot, is suspicious of wemmbu, he doesn’t believe that wemmbu is who he really claims to be.
Without enough proof, he takes it into his own hands to figure out who the invisible person really is.

Summary
This was it. One last chance to join the Mafia.
Parrot really should not have been considering it. An invisibility potion sat in both his and Wifies’ hands, like a death certificate. One that screamed “congrats, you’ve just surrendered everything that makes you who you are”. Ordinarily, Parrot would’ve already thrown away the potion. He would’ve burnt it immediately. But he was tired. The other members of District 13 - Parrot’s friends - had all joined the Mafia or abandoned the cause altogether. All that was left was him and Wifies.
