Jeno chalked up his own restlessness as a minor concern. Sure, he needed to hold Mark’s hand a little longer than usual to stay grounded but that could have been caused by anything, not just his heat. A surge of need shoots through Jeno like lightning when they’re changing into their first stage outfits. Their staff are pacing around, crowding every member for final touch-ups, backstage pictures and monitoring them but Jeno’s rationality had flown out the window the moment he saw Mark slip his jacket on.
He’s marching towards Mark before he even realises it.

Jeno’s desires have a name and an address, and he has been preemptively missing Mark his entire life; right now his hopes are so high they’d reach the moon. Hoping that Mark will catch him looking, hoping that Mark will look back at him.
Hoping that once he does, he’ll decide to never, ever look away.
(Or, perhaps Mark was always supposed to leave. Perhaps Jeno was always supposed to stay.)
