Clorinde smiled as she admired the woman in front of her.
Her sea blue eyes sparkled in the sunlight that filtered in from the window. Her blonde curls were pulled back into a braid, and a few wisps of hair framed her face like a golden halo. The pink apron she wore was covered in smatterings of flour. She stood at the kitchen counter, surrounded by measuring cups, bowls, and bags of dry ingredients.
Clorinde couldn’t help the smile that quirked at the corner of her lips. Even with flour on her apron and purple food dye on her manicured fingers, Navia looked beautiful.
Or, Clorinde wakes up to find her girlfriend Navia baking macarons. Fluff ensues.

From an outsider's perspective, Kaveh supposes this would seem out of character. Al-Haitham, despite what his physique would suggest, spends most of his time in his office, working; in some obscure corner in the House of Daena, reading; or in his living room in as horizontal of a position as possible, usually going through a new record he's bought or parsing the pages of a frivolous new romance novel from Fontaine, sunlight trickling in through the windows like streaks of melted butter, cradling his hair and face like a mother would an infant.
....
It is with all this in mind that Kaveh decides to take Al-Haitham to the opera.

They lay there together in the slightly damp grass, breaths coming in pants. Till's eyes find themselves fixed on the sky above, at the expanse of twinkling stars. He shudders as a memory flashes through his mind.
"Do you remember when we snuck out to watch that meteor shower together?" Ivan asks softly, voicing Till's thoughts out loud. It's so weird when he does that, sometimes. It's like he knows exactly what Till is thinking, even when Till himself doesn't yet.
This time, though, Till can't help but think that it's sweet that they were thinking the same thing.
With the end of high school upon him, Till can't help but worry about whether or not Ivan will remain in his life going forward.
