Red, viscous blood bubbles through Shilo’s teeth.
Red like poppies, red like the stains left on the grass he crawls on. Shilo thinks for a moment that a vampire dying in a pool of their own blood was a very ironic and honestly ‘Shilo Way’ to die. And then an arrow whizzes into his stomach yet again, and the moment, if ‘the moment’ were called his life, was very quickly fading.
