Summary
Leaving the Great Hall was easy. Agott already had most of her bags packed and ready to go from when she was thrown out of the Arklaum manor. She was put in a temporary housing in the Great Hall until she found a place to apprentice. She had sent out maybe hundreds of letters but all came back with a scripted rejection.
All except one.

"Don't be silly. I'm not leaving without you." Coco plucks the last remaining book (Zozah-ology: A Curious Witch's Guide to the Fauna of the Zozah Peninsula) from the floor and places it back on Agott's shelf with resounding finality.
Then she breaks into a mischievous grin. "At least not until you tell me why there's a stuffed myrphon dancing on your bed!"
Agott groans, burying her face in her hands. "This is not happening."

Summary
Agott noticed a pattern between her master and his Watchful Eye. It seemed that whenever one of them was to get upset, the other would bring food to cheer them up.
Agott also noticed that Coco had been strangely quiet these days, as if she were worried about something. Agott wondered if she could cook something to cheer her up.
Alternatively, Agott learned how to cook Coco’s native hometown soup to cure her homesickness.

Summary
Agott just got here, and she doesn't always know what she's feeling, but she's sure she wasn't meant to be placed in a countryside atalier. She is quite displeased and lets Master Qifrey of the Atalier and Olruggio of the Torch, Watchful Eye of the Atalier, know how she's feeling. She lets them know what she requests, since they keep insisting it's fine.
And over time, she gets more comfortable with them. And she finds a lot of ways to show her appreciation and care--that is most definitely just to improve her education and the efficiency of the Atalier. No other reason.

Summary
The most common instances of forbidden magic were always because of illness or injury, always to save a loved one. The cruelty of death was always far sharper than the threat of the Knights Moralis.
It was why medicine was treated almost the same as forbidden magic, why illness was such a delicate subject among witches. Because they were defenseless against it, and mortality is frightening to those with power at their fingertips.
Agott's existence, for this reason, was unsuitable for the circumstances.
