“The refreshments here are harmful to mundanes… but not to Shadowhunters,” his breath brushes against her ear in a soothing caress, shivers trickling down Cristina’s spine as she leans back against him, pressing their bodies closer. “But it will likely cause you to feel…” he pauses as he struggles to describe what he himself cannot experience as a full blooded faerie, “euphoric.” His lips brush against her skin and she gasps. “Intoxicated.”
Cristina forces a swallow in an attempt to relieve her dry mouth, tilting her head so that his lips brush her cheek. “Hmmm.” She hums. She already feels intoxicated, just from being with him. She already feels euphoric.
“You need not drink, if you do not wish to.” As gentlemanly as ever. “However,” he grasps onto her shoulders and turns her around in one smooth movement, one black eye, one blue eye. “If you do wish to, we will watch over you. You are safe here.”
“I want to try,” her voice is soft despite her dry throat. “I want to drink.”

Magnus’ gaze is steady. “You’re Consul.”
“Yes,” Alec confirms. “Unfortunately, the official robe was left in Idris. I’ll have to get a new one made.” He hesitates. “Or not. Red’s not really my colour.”
“Alexander,” Magnus says sternly. “You will order the robe.”
Alec huffs a laugh, naively dismissing Magnus’ tone. “You have hundreds of robes. You have hundreds of red robes. All of which are probably more expensive and dazzling than the…” Alec trails off as Magnus gently puts his cocktail on the side table, pushes himself off the sofa, and glides towards Alec. He feels his pulse jump, anticipation and lust and love swirling in his stomach and chest.
“I want you,” Magnus nudges Alec’s knees apart using his own and slides into the space he’d created, “to order the robe.”

“I blame Matthew,” Alastair replies, softly, “he’s always finding new ways to piss me off.”
Alastair’s hand trails down Thomas' crown to his nape, then he moves to grasp one of his wrists, almost entirely covering Thomas’ tattoo. Alastair tugs until Thomas’ hands move away and his face is exposed. They lock eyes.
“I’ve been thinking about you too,” Alastair says, his voice a whisper.
Thomas’ heart soars, and his drunk mouth opens, “you have?”
Alastair is still holding Thomas’ wrist, his grip warm and grounding as the room spins.
“Is that so hard to believe?” Alastair’s eyes dart down, looking at Thomas’ lips.

Thomas thinks he’s lost his chance with Alastair when he drunkenly embarrasses himself at a party.
Until Alastair shows up outside Thomas’ uni room.

It was like finding the current and letting go, giving up on fighting and letting it carry him whichever way it pleased. Rather than the bass simply vibrating through him, it moved with him. And the more he released, the further he surrendered, the braver he felt.
The song switched seamlessly to something harsher with a deeper beat. Moving to a choreography only they knew, Iwaizumi shifted one of his hands up under the hem of Oikawa’s shirt, the whole of his hand nearly covering the expanse of toned stomach. His other hand shifted lower, along Oikawa’s hip and coming to rest on a jean-clad thigh. In the same beat, Oikawa dropped his hips, grinding back into Iwaizumi and throwing his arms up so that his hands rested on either side of Iwaizumi’s head.
And fuck if that didn't send his blood rushing south.

Iwaizumi gets dragged along. First to the most prestigious night club in the city. Then to the dance floor by someone he's pretty damn sure belongs on the cover of a magazine. Then lastly to a secluded room with said model where reservations are thrown to the wind.
