By every available metric, Yang Jeongin is a well-adjusted adult.
He pays his rent early. He has a ten-step skincare routine. He calls his eomma weekly. He writes on his coworker's birthday cards. He has never once raised his voice in a meeting, even during the Hot Churn Summer of '25, where a fourth of their client list decided to all end their contracts in the same quarter, and the founder was grilling him for reasons beyond his control. He is, by broad and sincere consensus, one of the nicest people at the company, a genuine delight, sweet sweet Jeongin.
And then Kim Seungmin walks past his desk, and Jeongin has to quickly close the browser tab where he was researching how long a body takes to decompose in a server room.

Summary
Minho doesn’t claim to be a perfect person. He doesn’t believe in God and he’s never gone to church or whatever else is supposed to make someone a moral human being. But he’s generally good, he thinks.
So, hearing how his neighbor pleasures himself isn’t his fault. He wasn’t actively listening for it, okay? So he got hard a few times. And? Is he not allowed to touch himself at the same time in his own shower?

Seungmin turns to him, looks into his eyes. “Listen, Jeongin.”
“Yeah?” There is a weird hint of hope in Jeongin’s voice, and Seungmin hates himself for latching onto it, even just for a second.
He swallows it down, lowering his voice. “We had fun. It was fun, for one night. It was good, right?” Seungmin allows himself the little kick of his heart, when Jeongin nods with red ears. “Right. Cool. Then that was that. No one has to know. Now we’re working together, and we’ll keep it professional, yeah? We’re coworkers now. That’s it.”
Seungmin prides himself in keeping personal and professional matters separate. Call it compartmentalizing, sure. It’s a set of rules he abides to religiously, and he doesn’t want to start going against them anytime soon. That is, until Jeongin comes, and blurs the lines he set for himself.

Jisung lets out a few nervous chuckles, “Is it gay?”
The group looks at him, confused.
“Just… you know, ‘cause he’s still sucking dick. Like, is it still gay if you’re sucking your own dick?”
“Oh, god. Token straight boy here is getting a boner from the selfcest and needs a gay check. Minho, you’re up.” Hyunjin throws up his hands, exasperated.
“Selfcest?” Minho questions.
“I don’t know, it just came to me. It works, though, right?” Hyunjin says, practically patting himself on the back.
“Yeah, that was so smart of you, wifey.” Changbin tries.
Hyunjin glares at him, “You’re still sleeping alone.”
Minho blinks his eyes and shakes his head as if he’s shaking himself out of a trance. “Um, no it’s not gay. It’s only gay if it’s someone else, if it’s another guy’s dick.”

Jisung knows Minho is really handsome, he has eyes of course, he noticed immediately when he first laid eyes on him. Up close, it feels ten times worse. Jisung can see every imperfection, every slight scar, every bump on his skin. He has to fight the urge to reach out and touch, because there is no way in hell Minho is interested. He cannot be, Jeongin told him, he is straight, admittedly a little ambiguously if Jisung can believe Jeongin, but straight nonetheless.
