    What would happen if you suddenly woke up in the past, having a very nagging feeling that something was very wrong and having no idea what you could do about it? Well, if you had told Knuckles about this barely even five minutes ago, he would have laughed in your face and called you insane. Now, however? He... would really like to know what's going on. Potentially even leave, if the option was given to him. Until then... he can't have them find out where he's from, can he? At least he knows how to lie. ...Hopefully.

    Or: Knuckles wakes up in the past with no clue how he got there. Now all he has to do is try and change the future without letting it slip exactly when he's from.
