Summary
Occasionally, things do not always go as planned. After the war, the wizarding world is not run by the Light. It's run by power and blood. Hermione's concept of peace and equality has always been relative, even if it's granted under Voldemort's executed strategy. Yet, his carefully crafted utopia cannot be held without sacrifice. It's time for Hermione to prove her worth in a new era of control masked as peace.

Summary
"She’d watched her friends grow, and snarl, and rumble--speaking a language that she only half understood--while they expressed magic in ways she’d felt but could not return. Even Harry had managed it, near the end, an explosive song that had come from his very core, rage and heat and leadership clear. It was wrapped around their culture, this biological imperative--
--and she'd hated it."

Summary
She can no longer think of him as her Lord. He devolves in her mind as she swallows the truth of that. She'd taken his curses, and anger, and he had been downed by a child. She had at least been beaten by an adult. And, honestly, she isn't sure which is worse. To be caged again because of that, or dead like him.

Summary
Bellatrix sneered, staring down at the frazzled woman before her. For the most part, Hermione appeared undaunted, until she opened her mouth. "Hey, if we're going to be living together, the least you could do is give me a sex--A SEC!!!"

Summary
One Dark Lord exchanged for another. That was what the people needed. Not a Ministry, not a hero, but a true savior. A sovereign of unchallenged power, madness, and hunger. Despite the war being over, Harry reckons Hermione might be just the right person for the open job. Far better than the current Minister of Magic would be anyway. Dark Golden Trio.

Summary
The Locket is the key, opening the gates to ideas and choices that they never imagined having to face. So, they choose for Harry to remain untouched after Ron is gone, leaving Hermione to shoulder the burden of the Locket's call during the treacherous hunt for the other Horcruxes. Ancient magic, stress, and delirium doesn't help when it comes to discovering a successful way to destroy them, but perhaps it does help when it comes down to filtering through all their other choices to ending the war.
Especially the dark ones.

Summary
For Hermione, Hogwarts is nothing like what she assumed it'd be. Neither is The-Boy-Who-Lived. Something really dark is going on and Hermione isn't sure how to fix it. Her only choice is to survive it, but the soft-spoken boy with the toad seems to prefer she embrace it. Either way, it's all a lesson in culture and the appropriate way to seek a proper education. Dark AU.
