He grinned, and she knew her cause was hopeless. If it had to do with the mysterious Teach, he would never leave it alone. Might as well use him then.
“The professor is acting strange,” she said, low and urgent.
The professor is distracted at the training grounds. Hilda takes it upon herself to learn more. She's just helpful like that.

Her amusement didn’t last long, though. She settled into position a moment later and beckoned him.
