“You ever think you’d be doing something like this?” Faith asked, tossing a fry into her mouth.
“Eating Sonic in a truck stop parking lot with you?” Buffy said, stirring her shake with her straw. “No, I can’t say that was on my bingo card for 2003. But then again, neither was closing the Hellmouth. So I guess you could say this year has been full of surprises.”
Faith licked fry salt off of her fingers with an expression akin to ecstasy. “Yeah, I didn’t exactly plan on doing a jail break either. But what I was actually gettin’ at was whether you ever thought you’d get to do this kind of thing. Hitting the road. Getting out of Sunny-D and actually seeing the world.”
Or,
Three months after the end of the world, Buffy goes on a road trip to find a Hellmouth that probably doesn’t exist with someone she wasn’t sure she’d ever see again, let alone drive across the country with. She finds out some things about herself along the way.

Summary
Six months after Chosen, the core Scoobies and a couple of hangers on are living in another small California town. Everyone else has scattered around the country and indeed the globe, but that’s okay. Buffy’s fine with this arrangement, just as she’s fine with the other OG Slayer living large back in Boston.
But things never go quite according to plan, do they? It’s lucky that slaying is just like riding a biker.

Summary
As the cold terror gave way to numb, self assured action, she felt it. The warmth that faintly buzzed in the roof of her mouth and spread through the back of her neck and up to her temples.
Just gotta get warm, Lehane.
Her feet took her towards it, like a moth through a cold and wide night towards a distant light to die in. She wondered if moths were fully satisfied when their wings turned to dust, their blood to hissing smoke, the fire taking away any part of them that could be cold ever again.
She liked to think they were.
The first thing Faith feels is cold, followed shortly after by a buzzing memory of warmth. Weak, weary, and desperate, she leaves the hospital to find Buffy.
What she wants the woman who broke her for, she doesn’t exactly know.
Maybe it’s salvation, maybe it’s annihilation, maybe to Faith there’s no difference.
S4 fix-it with lots of angst, themes of domination/submissiveness, Buffy being a control freak and Faith needing to be controlled!

“We were saying,” Giles clears his throat, “We think it would be good for you two to continue being seen together, in a similar fashion to last night.”
Buffy stares at him, because that cryptic response definitely cleared things up for her.
Then Jenny, who’s been weirdly quiet since she’s entered the apartment, lays down a newspaper on the coffee table. Buffy’s heart drops twenty meters when she sees the big, bold headline—Rockstar Faith Lehane and Scream Queen Buffy Summers Share PDA-Filled Stroll through LA.
Underneath is a photo, in which a blonde and brunette couple cross the street together. The brunette grins, dimples visible, and has her arm around the other’s shoulder, while the blonde looks up at her with a disgustingly lovesick gaze and smiles so widely and… oh. Oh God.
“They think we’re dating,” Faith says exactly what Buffy’s thinking.
“Well…” Jenny starts. “We think that you should. Date.”
or, rockstar!faith and actress!buffy accidentally get into a pr relationship with each other.
