It was bad enough that in the middle of Bilbo Baggins' perfectly good life, some wizard invited a bunch of strange dwarves into her home and insisted he knew her well enough to rope her into their "adventure". It was bad enough they had drunk all her mead. It was bad enough Gandalf ruined her new paint. The proverbial and, at times for Bilbo, literal dwarf-on-top of Thorin Oakenshield was what really did her in.
