Summary
“If I missed you,” Kiyoomi said slowly, “that would mean it’s not over.”
Atsumu stared at him in silence, different emotions flitting over his sharp features: anger, disbelief, sadness, grief. Atsumu stepped into the water, his eyes wide and determined. “Are you gonna miss me, Omi?”
Kiyoomi dug his fingernails into his palm and prayed to draw blood. He took a shaky breath, trying to expel the lump in his throat, but all that came out was his shaky voice. “Stop asking me that question.”
“Why?” Atsumu dared him. “‘Cause it’d mean it’s not over?”
Months after their breakup, Kiyoomi and Atsumu accidentally run into each other only a few days before Atsumu leaves to play in Brazil. Atsumu invites Kiyoomi on a trip to the beach for one last goodbye, and Kiyoomi reluctantly agrees, hoping to finally find closure—or something else he's too afraid to face.

from “Kiyoomi curled his hand into a fist by his side, and the lump was a black hole threatening to swallow him whole. His voice came out warped, fighting against the horizon of skewed space and time, as he tried to sound sure. “I’m over you.”
“I fuckin’ got that,” Atsumu spat. “But will you miss me? Are you gonna miss me, Omi?”
to “Didja really think,” Atsumu rasped, “I’d fall outta love with you just ‘cause you asked me to?”
and finally “You think I asked ya on a weekend trip just ‘cause yer my friend and I didn’t wanna be lonely? It’s ‘cause seein’ you ruined my whole goddamn mornin’ ‘cause just lookin’ atcha made me wantcha more than anythin’, like I’d go insane if I walked away. I just wanted you, even if it was temporary. But I want you permanently—always.”

from “Sasuke nodded, still catching his breath, still watching him like he was trying to make sense of how someone so loud and messy had ever become the gentlest thing in his life.”
to “Naruto growled, his voice thick and vibrating right against the most sensitive part of him. “You stay still and let me take care of you.”

Summary
“Your hand,” Jabber drawls, as if that makes sense in any way. Zanka’s hand twitches, traitorous little shit that his body apparently is, which doesn’t go unnoticed, because nothing ever goes unnoticed when it would benefit him. That stupid fucking grin on Jabber’s face does something sharp. “Please?”
Clicking his tongue in annoyance—more so at himself than anything—, he shoves his hand at the fucker, trying not to think about how stupid a move that is.
Jabber slips one of his rings onto his finger. His ring finger, specifically, which is significant in absolutely no way Zanka is willing to consider, then every other until all of his fingers are decorated with rings too big to be worn like intended, sliding all the way back on his slightly thinner disposition.
“That makes us even, ain’t it,” Jabber says, sounding real fucking pleased for someone giving away half their advantage, curling Zanka’s hand into a fist between his own. There’s one beat too many before he takes a theatrical step back. “Now hit me with my rings. Make it leave marks.”

"Funny seeing you here," says Coincidence.
Fate grins wide. "Are you kidding? This was meant to be!"
Or, the uncanny but rather serendipitous ways in which Yaku Morisuke's life always seems to find a path back to one Haiba Lev.

“An easy smile rose to Lev’s cheeks. It consumed his entire body, all 202 centimeters as he leaned down to meet Morisuke halfway. That’s all he wanted, really. Someone who could meet him in the middle.
“I’d always choose you, Yaku-san.”

Summary
“So I’m just gonna tell you, Yasu, that you’re--” Ikkei sighs, a pebbled sound. Resigned. “You’re pretty enough that you’re gonna get me into all kinds of trouble.”
Yasu half-laughs, cracks a wide unguarded smile. Lets it fade, quickly, to something sly.
Reaches out, darting and slick-palmed, not even thinking of all the time he’s waited for this. Curls his short fingers around the knob of Ikkei’s wrist, purrs. “All kinds? You’ve decided?”
Ikkei’s eyes roll. “Yep. Guess I have.”
Ikkei and Yasu's rivalry boils over in the spring of 1968, and they clutch at the things they can't have.

“Instead he tightens the vise of his thighs, makes Ikkei gasp all open-throated. Nips at his ear, whispers “coward, at least call me sweetheart.”
Ikkei does, without a whit of hesitation. “Sweetheart,” breathless and gravelly, from the bottom of that barrel chest and deeper. And without words--in the quick relentless tide of his hips, the way one hand comes up to stroke through Yasu’s hair, he calls him sweetheart.“
this actually hurt my heart really badly at the end and idk if i could ever read it again, but it’s so real and so tender that i have to book mark it (just in case)
