Summary
She knows everything is wrong immediately. It is the same, but also different - very different. Magic licks across her skin more freely, like flames of a wildfire in high summer and the weight of it in her lungs burns with the same visceral physical heat. Her side aches. Her head does too. And he is standing there, hovering over her, the same but not the same - different, and young.
You’ve got to be fucking kidding me.
Very loosely inspired by The Wolf and the Fox fairytale

Summary
“The Veil…” Solas murmured, as if he couldn’t begin to finish.
Rook laughed into the ground, bruised and breathless.
“Oh Solas,” he said, pushing up, “you should never have married me.”
Or: Solas tries an alternate method of manipulating Rook. It does not go to plan.

Summary
Varric Tethras found an outsider with a resume that might make the Dread Wolf listen, before Thedas pays for his choices. Again. This Rook is no mage, no Dalish, and no one’s idea of a savior.
A slow burn romance that asks if one person can truly save a world.
Multi-fandom crossover elements, but familiarity isn’t required. Setting is Dragon Age, Thedas.
78 chapters, complete. I’ve gone through so many drafts over the last 16 months I can recite whole sections.

Summary
Rook has been many things throughout his life: a menace to Tevinter nobles, a beacon of hope to former slaves and now a thorn in the side of three - count 'em THREE - elven gods.
However, he was not always such a force to be reckoned with. He once was a slave himself. He thought he had dealt with the shame and terror of that time, being caught by his former master proves him wrong. Help comes from an unexpected source in Solas who is uncharacteristically understanding and kind throughout the ordeal.
*Chapter 9 and 10 has been edited AGAIN to flow better*

Summary
Every story’s got an ending. This one just came a little earlier than I’d planned.
Rook wonders if Solas feels the same way as the Dread Wolf’s closes — as his new one with Ellana Lavellan cracks open to its first page.
It was a good ending — a poetic ending — the Inquisitor taming an impossibly ancient grief to walk hand in hand with her lover into the Fade.
Forever bound together; forever sharing the love they’d built between them — unshakable and iron willed and impossible to break in spite of the decade that hung between their last meeting and the flare of green that accompanies their dematerialization.
It was nice, and it was peaceful, and Rook has been left standing in the ashes of a blighted Minrathous — broken, bleeding, and bitter.
In the moments following the defeat of Elgar'nan and the redemption of the Dread Wolf, Rook is dragged into another unwanted, unpredictable magical shit show. After being given a vague order and an even vaguer plan, he's thrown into the past — much further than anticipated.
A time travel fix-it fic written by an author obsessed with dashes and italics.

Summary
Life’s hard when you need to rely on Solas for anything. It only gets harder when you’re tossed through time into a pre-Mage Rebellion Kirkwall and all you wanted was to save the world.
Rook, fifteen. Solas, recently risen from uthenera.
They’re all each other has got and they’re both miserable about it.
Good luck getting that dagger back.
~or~
An accident at the end of the world thrusts Rook and Solas into the past. Twenty years younger, weaker, and the weight of Solas’ betrayal between them, they will need to rely on each other to survive Kirkwall in the hopes they might recover the Red Lyrium idol, cleanse it back into the Lyrium Dagger, and return home.

“I have… not seen many shemlen before now.”
He looks around at the three of them: the spymaster, poised and perceptive, the diplomat with her clipboard and coiffed smile, and the military leader, large frame paused in a warrior’s rest.
“Well, you’ve certainly gotten a decent amount of exposure by now.” Josephine’s smile meets her eyes sweetly. “What do you think?”
They are strange. Loud. Frank. Earnest. Saven eyes the warrior’s hulking mantle. “You are large.”

Summary
Now Complete!
Rook and Solas get thrown into the past to the Inquisition. Solas remembers nothing and Rook only has some of her memories. They share a bond and this changes everything. Plenty of Banter and smut. + Cassandra/Varric secondary romance.___
Varric narrated, "The Titans were restless. They dreamed of times past and of different worlds. Funny thing about stories like this. Everyone thinks they’re about gods and ancient monsters. The Dread Wolf. The Forgotten Ones. But when you get to the last page, you realize it was never really about them.
See, a Forgotten One thought to send Solas and Rook tumbling back to a time when Solas planned to destroy the very thing keeping him and the person he loved most alive.
To a little place in history you might have heard of. To the Inquisition.
Now if this were a tragedy, and believe me, I’ve written a few . . . you’d expect that to be the end of it. History repeating itself. Heroes failing. The old wolf tearing down the sky.
But history’s a funny thing when the people inside it decide not to follow the script. And Rook? Stubborn doesn’t begin to cover it. But that, my friends, is this next story."

Summary
The world she had the misfortune of ending up in was rife with racism, lawlessness, and squalor. Religious strife and the conflict between two irreconcilable factions did nothing to simplify the duties forced upon her. In this universal chaos, it was impossible to find a drop of compassion, let alone any understanding for her joyless predicament.
An Inquisitor who possesses no remarkable abilities. All she wants is to survive this maelstrom of universal madness.

Summary
The first time Lucanis saw Rook, he thought a desire demon was attempting to entrance him. There was no other explanation for how the man of every fantasy he could ever imagine was right there in front of him—in the Ossuary, of all places.
Then Rook spoke, and Lucanis was brought back to reality, because in his perfect fantasy, there was no way his dream man would speak with a Tevene accent. But Rook did. Then he loosed an arrow straight into a Venatori’s face, instantly dropping him. Lucanis froze for a second, as Spite growled, “MINE!”

Slow burn Lucanis x Rook romance, because I am not happy with how little Bioware gave us for this beautiful man.

Summary
Rook doesn't understand why everyone in the Veilguard talks to everyone else, except for him. With Emmrich's arrival, things change and Rook's infatuation begins, challenging the Mortalitasi to follow either desire or duty. Emmrich is reluctant due to the years between them and struggles to deal with the reality of what that means.
This is not an easy romance, where things go accordingly and all the pieces fall into place. Sex, love, and relationships can be difficult and require time, continued effort, and no shortage of work to make things last. Balancing this during what may be the end of the world doesn't make it any easier. Rook wants to try, but does Emmrich?

SPOILERS FOR DAI/DATV
Her mind will have to do, for now, despite how it feels filled with destructive runes and traps waiting to be set. Ever since Varric, the one from then, and again in this new present of hers, it’s hard to differentiate that it’s all... real. She knows it is, logically, but her heart?
It’s difficult.
"Nuva lasa su ma enaste" May it give you grace.
She got her happy ending, even if it wasn't the one most would have wanted. Travelling the Fade for an untold amount of time, learning the secrets housed within each wonder, connecting with the history of her people beyond the terror of their ancestors. Dying at the end of the world doesn't sound half-bad after all she's done.
Poetic, in some way. Unfortunately, not everyone agrees with that sentiment.
She should have stayed in Minrathous.
And now she's an unknown amount of time in the past, with wild magic sparking in her palm and a world actually drowning in demons.

Summary
In a freak twist of fate, after killing Ghilan’nain and unleashing a lethal amount of magic, Rook does not find herself in the Prison of Regrets. Instead, the magic creates a pseudo-rift and spits her out the other side.
Stuck in the past, she has several options but only one real conclusion: the Inquisition had done fine the first time. They certainly didn’t need her assistance. The fate of the Veil still hung in the balance, and she had vowed to keep it there by any means necessary. Solas had been helpful up to this point, but she’d known he was plotting—scheming to escape his prison.
He had used blood magic on her. He’d hurt Varric. He’d cheerfully kill her given half a chance. This younger version hasn’t done anything yet… and doesn’t know to be wary of her. Rook wasn’t above using him, and then killing him with his back turned.
What was the Dalish saying? May the Dread Wolf take you? Not if Rook took him first.

Summary
That's the world. Everything you build, it tears down. Everything you've got, it takes. And it's gone forever. The only choices you get are to lie down and die or keep going. He kept going. That's as close to beating the world as anyone gets. – Varric Tethras, Dragon Age: Inquisition
I should start this by saying, I really should have known better. There’s no such thing as coincidence; it’s an illusion, a fabrication we create because we just want to move on with our lives as if nothing happened. For the longest time, I clung desperately to that illusion, to the belief that being reincarnated into a world I’d once known as a game was nothing more than a coincidence. It sounds so foolish, now that I think about it. I was so foolish. My only defense is this: the power of denial can never be underestimated.
Yes, it’s a poor defense. Especially for me. Especially after what I’ve done.
So here it is. A compendium of my life’s memories, jumbled together in the hope that someone, anyone, finds it in themselves to understand.
