Summary
Octavia has always been able to measure her dad’s happiness with his music. As a child, he’d sing to her, his voice full and emanating fondness, and it was almost enough to cover the edge of pain that was always present underneath. Yet as the years passed, she heard his voice less and less as he grew more discontent, until his song all but died.
Then, after Blitz re-enters his life, despite the chaos of Stella’s rage, Octavia hears him singing again, and those songs of happiness and hope speak of a growing love that cannot be ignored. So when things go wrong between them, Octavia hears the heartbreak in her father's voice and knows that a certain little red dickhead needs to do something about it before it's too late.

Stolas is slowly settling into his new life with Blitzø after the trial and trying to cope with his estrangement from Octavia. This change doesn't come without adjustments and realizations, the toughest of which being the fundamental difference between him and his lover and new friends. They were mortals.
