The perfect Regency tale. Snark. Pompous Snape completely undone b/c he’s socially inept (and because Hermione is his perfect match and he WAS NOT READY).
Hermione, secret alchemy scholar, improving his work with her own research, showing him up. Snarking at him with the glory of everything Hermione Granger is capable of.
A fantastic kiss. A nebulous ending. That’s the only bad part. The ending. It’s the potential for a beginning, not an HEA.

Delightful
Why for newbs? Grooot’s voice is gentle and wonderfully hopeful in this fic. Yet the characterizations still feel real. She leads these two on a real journey to happiness and the ending is EARNED.
Okay well maybe not completely real because Severus Snape as a muggle primary teacher is delightfully absurd yet needs to be WITNESSED in the writing and in the delightful art.

It’s so cute and the dialogue is excellent and there’s things like Snape has greasy, dandruffy hair and Hermione needs her hair waxed and then also has babies and gains weight.
It’s lovely.
