Summary
Oscar has always been good at noticing things, especially when they involve Lando. So when the new rookie starts shadowing Lando in the paddock, Oscar can’t help but feel that familiar twist of jealousy stirring in his chest. He remembers feeling and acting the same way once, but unlike Arvid, Oscar knows the truth. And that is that Lando is his, and he has already won.

Bookmarker's Notes
There was no shame in having loved Lando, the shame had come from accepting so little and calling it enough.

“Jesus Christ,” Lando whispered. “I just told Max Verstappen to fuck off. On camera. In a wedding skirt. To protect my—” He froze, gesturing helplessly at the Aussie still watching him with infuriating calm. “—my husband.”
Oscar raised a single eyebrow. He looked about as hungover as Lando felt, but there was a wry tilt to his mouth.
“Well,” he said flatly. “At least you were committed.”

Bookmarker's Notes
Jazz spilled into the kitchen like smoke. Something low and velvet-smooth, with a lazy trumpet and soft piano chords.
Lando shifted, trying to initiate movement, but Oscar was still fully draped on him, unmoving. Just this warm, sleepy wall of sleepy boy.
“You’re supposed to be dancing with me,” Lando said, wiggling slightly.
“I am dancing,” Oscar mumbled. “Inside.”
“You’re crushing me.”
“That’s because you're comfortable. I like you.”
“You don’t even remember marrying me.”
“Doesn’t mean I wouldn’t do it again.”

Summary
Holy shit.
Oscar simply runs his tongue over his lips one last time - as though savouring whatever trace of Lando is still there - before turning and directing his attention toward the influencer.
"We can take it now, right?"
Christ, Lando had forgotten that the whole point of this was the bloody TV at their feet.
