Leon rests his eyes as he sits in the open door of a BSAA van, head hanging low. He’s exhausted down to his very bones, pain and aches radiating from every muscle in his body.
He’s getting too old for this shit.
Heavy footsteps come closer, but Leon is more than happy to ignore them until a gruff, familiar voice accompanies them.
“Leon, there you are.”
Leon opens his pale blue eyes just as the man stops in front of him. Leon takes in the latter’s appearance, as it’s been a while since they last met.
Chris Redfield.
Leon huffs and smiles tiredly as he takes in the older man’s gruff features. “That should be my line. Chris Redfield, always fashionably late to the party. You missed out on all the fun,” says Leon with amusement.

From the second they stepped out onto that stage, in front of the press, it seemed like he was in a state of shock. But he finally raised his eyes to shoot Walker a stormy look. Whichever one of their reactions was effective, it didn’t matter, because something successfully shut John up.
They rode for a few more minutes in silence. Then, Alexei cleared his throat.
“Walker is right.” He said.
Without lifting his head, Bucky murmured to nobody in particular: “That’s a first.”
