"Sumo, this better be worth it," he checked the alarm clock. 2:32 AM. "Fucking Christ." Hank stood up, and slowly made his way out the door, careful to not trip over the mess on his floor.
The Saint Bernard seemingly ran to the kitchen, whining softly, urging Hank to follow.
Hank picked up his pace a bit, the strange activity putting him on edge a bit. Hairs on his arm stood up as he entered the kitchen
What he saw wasn't an intruder, no, but an android curled in on himself by the cabinets. His LED was a golden yellow, flickering red every so often.
"Connor?"

Hank wakes up to a very persistent dog, and the night evolves into comforting an android he thinks of as a son.

“Why’d they make you look so goofy,” Hank had said, hatred curling his lips into something angry and disgusted. “And give you that weird voice?”
Connor, a machine, had responded promptly and succinctly and with a little bit more sass than strictly dictated by its programming. It was entirely unbothered by the insult.
Connor, a deviant, months later, is bothered.

The revolution had ended only two months ago. It was peaceful. Hah. Peaceful for Markus, and the people he led. For Connor… What a wonderful machine he was. Ever the obedient killer. Connor ademmently destroyed so many Innocent, freedom seeking people. Up until the last moment.
Yet, he was being regarded as a Hero for his late contributions to the effort.Truly, he felt out of place. More so, he felt like a monster.
