Summary
JumperWho wakes up in the present day with no memory of her past.
The disaster which struck her homeland a long time ago had destroyed everything she once knew... and yet somehow, against all odds, she had survived.
Now she's returned to the world, unfamiliar as it may be to her, and is surrounded by all sorts of people - some who want to help her adjust to her new life, some who seem to already know who she is, and some who are hellbent on getting in her way.
She just hopes that, no matter where her quest for answers takes her, she'll at least have somebody standing beside her by the end.

“I’m not joining anything,” Jumper said flatly.
She didn’t raise her voice. She didn’t need to. The words landed final, a line drawn cleanly between curiosity and refusal. She folded her arms, grounding herself in the familiar pressure, reminding herself that she was allowed to say no. That nothing had been agreed to just because someone spoke confidently.
Mapic smiled.
Not sharp. Not mocking. Just calm, like she’d answered a question he hadn’t asked yet.
“Good,” he said. “Joining implies choice.”
Her stomach dropped at his words, at how naturally the response came. She felt the shift then, subtle but undeniable, like the floor tilting a fraction of an inch beneath her feet.
“That’s not better,” she said, the words leaving her before she could change them.
“No,” Mapic agreed calmly. “It’s just honest.”
The space between them felt suddenly heavier. He wasn’t pushing. Wasn’t forcing her. Just stating a fact, like gravity or time passing. And that, more than anything, unsettled her.
Because honesty wasn’t supposed to feel like this.

“I do not,” Ro replies. “You overestimate it.”
Mapic leans toward Bacon. “He’s not reacting correctly.”
“Should we threaten him?”
Ro raises a hand politely.
“I would prefer if you did not.”
Zam crouches in front of him, eye level now.
“You believe you don’t influence Jumper’s actions?”
Ro meets their gaze steadily.
“I don’t even influence Jumper’s lunch choices.”
or Abyss kidnaps Ro because they think he’ll help them convince Jumper to join the cult. Cult shenanigans and everyone gets kidnapped at least once and people rescue people when they don't need rescuing.
