Summary
"Come on, it's all right," Martin coos, soft and soothing, even though he's been kneeling in the cold dirt for five minutes now and he's definitely going to be late to his interview. But the bird that's gotten itself tangled in a mess of overgrown rosebush and discarded nylon ribbon is still thrashing, bleeding a little from where the thorns have dug into its wing, and he's committed now, isn't he?
\\
Martin commits.

Summary
In another life, Gordon and Warren meet at an Overhead office party. Warren doesn't realise that what he's drinking is alcoholic, leading to drunk bathroom conversations and a game of Would You Rather for good measure.

Summary
Martin is reclined in the armchair with his head lolling onto one shoulder, a book lying open in his lap, Qasmuna curled up on his chest. Jon pauses in the doorway to watch the slow rise and fall of his breathing, to take in the peaceful expression on his sleeping face. It is almost too much to bear – Jon feels a tightness in his chest, a warmth in his gut that threatens to overwhelm him.

Summary
"Oh, yeah, I'm absolutely your boyfriend," Martin promised with a fervent nod of his head. "I was just thinking."
"Thinking what?" Jon asked, slow and unsure.
"Thinking—we could be married," Martin explained with half a shrug, trying to act nonchalant to cover for the fact that his face was rapidly heating up, his heart pounding in his chest. -

Summary
oh, god, i'm clean out of air in my lungs
it's all gone
played it so nonchalant
it's time we danced with the truth
move alone with the truth
we're sleeping through all the days
i'm acting like i don't see
every ribbon you used to tie yourself to me
// lorde, soberthe research gang goes out for drinks. martin loosens up more than usual. jon pays too much attention to the syntax of things, but also loosens up a little. sasha and tim become long-suffering sounding boards for pent-up emotions, and then they get to scheming.
