"Would you have taken me?", Dazai asked with uncharacteristic candor. His honey-brown eyes expressed an emotion in a language that Fyodor was all too familiar with.
"Of course. I'm not a fool." His answer carried conviction he wasn't aware he could provide. Then again, all his answers changed when Dazai asked the questions.
Dazai didn't say anything. He was probably trying to see where the boundary between them lay, or if there was one at all.

Summary
Chuuya walked over to Dazai's bed, he had no idea what he'd do, no plan of how to drag the boy out of his misery. For a minute he just stood there, taking in the distant look that had settled into Dazai's eyes, like he wasn't truly there.
He sat in the corner, the mattress dipped beneath his weight and his warmth flowed through the thin blanket. This physical shift seemed to have dragged Dazai out of his hypnotic state, he looked over to Chuuya with an unblinking stare. The look carried no ulterior motive, there was no scrutiny, no anticipation, there was nothing. He was just looking. That terrified Chuuya.
He knew what to do when Dazai would scheme, he knew what moves to pull when the bastard would try to predict everything; but now, the weight of uncertainty dawned on Chuuya, he truly did not know what to do with this new piece of vulnerability that was shown to him involuntarily.
"Dazai, what's wrong?" It was a stupid question, he didn't know why he asked, he knew with full certainty that Dazai wouldn't answer that or even acknowledge it for that matter. It was never that easy with him.

“Dazai, what the fuck is this?”
Brown eyes, still cloudy, peered up at him as if the words hadn’t even been comprehended in Dazai’s mind. His head cocked to the side in a silent question and Chuuya moved to push Dazai’s leg up a bit further, bringing it into the light so they could both see properly.
The near entirety of the skin was marred, of course, self-inflicted scars crisscrossing each other, old enough to have turned a faded white, but that wasn’t what he was focused on.
The issue lay in a series of fresh ones. They were scarily recent, probably only a few days old at best, and scabbed over. None looked bad enough to have needed stitches but they were pretty damn close.
Those hadn’t been there the last time they’d done this. In fact, nothing of the sort had been there any of the times they’d fucked since before Dazai left the Port Mafia.
