Summary
Many things can be said about one's nature. The disposition one has, influenced by the environment in which they exist. For those who tend to avoid conflict, they are tested to grow or shown to break under dire circumstances. But what of those whose natures thrive off conflict? Off violence? Perhaps they would chafe in a world where conflict is something done under cover of night, in esoteric circles, away from polite society. In this case, perhaps such individuals would find themselves at home in an environment that promotes constant fighting, against ancient beasts that threaten to doom humanity. Perhaps they would enjoy it such enough that it becomes a new home. And with this, comes forming new allies and enemies as they acclimate to their new home, and the influence they have on those around them.
However, this isn't a story about them, but about the new lineage they begin.TLDR: what if Ruby and Yang were Sparda's grandkids?

Summary
It's a time of brief but well-earned peace in Vacuo, Salem's forces having been pushed back to a stalemate. A time of rest and relaxation is in order, with some of the crew traveling to other lands to reunite with friends old and new. Summary
When Ruby Rose entered the Great Tree she was shown a vision of her mother before she died. At least in the original timeline. In this timeline she's shown a glimpse of her fallen friend Pyrrha.
One emotional reaction later Ruby finds herself in the past, specifically the day of her Beacon initiation. Only this time, Instead of Weiss she ends up with Pyrrha as her partner. Now Ruby has a second try to make the world a better place than her first go around.
All she has to do is get a grip on her emotions. She should have no problem managing that, I mean surely, right?
