He could not scare Metal Sonic - and it was him who sat on the rooftop, - away. He could get a decent fight from the robot, but currently he didn't feel like fighting. His thoughts rushed.
What should he do? Should he go back to his apartment, skip the rooftop part and continue on the day as if nothing happened? But the rooftop thinking was part of his routine, and it would feel like something would be missing if he skipped that step.
He always could just join Metal Sonic on the rooftop, Shadow thought to himself. Surely, nothing bad would happen if he just kept quiet.
