“Before we go any further,” Wilford began, hands dragging up his sides, parting his unbuttoned shirt. “...Who exactly is it that I’m speaking to?”
Dark’s heart jumped to his throat.
For a moment, he considered backing out before this went any further. Though, the idea of stopping now, when he was so close to the relief he’d been so desperate for, almost physically pained him. He clenched his teeth, nails digging into Wilford’s shoulders. And he took a breath.
“Damien,” He said, swallowing his nerves. And something sparkled Wilford’s eyes at the confession. Something that looked like pleasant surprise.
“Damien,” He echoed, his smile curling up at the edges. “I can work with that.”

OR: Wilford and Dark spend the night together. This isn’t out of the ordinary for the two of them. But it’s not usually this side of Dark that he’s seeing in the bedroom.

Vincent couldn’t move. Couldn’t breathe. Couldn’t think. He was paralyzed, helpless, staring with wide eyes at the thing he recognized despite never seeing anything like it.

Vincent Whittman is a televangelist. In his personal life, he doesn't bother practicing what he preaches. He considers himself holy enough to be above the rules. One night, after hours at the studio, a demonic presence lingers. It uses the seclusion to remind Vincent he’s not as holy as he presents himself. And Vincent is maybe just a little too into it.

AKA: Smartass has been feeling unfit to fill the shoes of his late boss after the events of the film. He has a weird dream about him.

Summary
This is an AU of mine in which Gordon and Chell switch lives. Similarly, their friends, Barney and Wheatley, have also swapped. Gordon, a test subject at Aperture, is woken up by a friendly-looking Security Core, with little memory of his past. Meanwhile, Chell, a past theoretical physicist from Black Mesa, is woken up by a not-as-friendly man in a business suit, and thrown into the apocalypse.
Their stories aren't intertwined. If you'd rather just read Gordon's side, read every odd numbered chapter. If you're only interested in Chell's side, read the even numbered ones.

Brock wasn’t historically his type, but he didn’t think much about it. He had arms like a ten-car pileup and an ass like a clingstone peach, and that kind of thing transcended gender. The guy half-listened to his ancient stories, humoured him when pressed and made him breakfast a couple times a week. Doc knew couples who got by on less.

Ford does not want to be at Backupsmore University. He should be in California, at West Coast Tech, showing the world that he's more than a freakish waste of space from Jersey; showing the world that he's more than the scrawny, brainy half of a dynamic duo. He's angry, sure, and he's sure-as-fuck tired of being just one-of-two-Stans.
But who isn't angry right now? The world is in turmoil, they're sending our boys to Vietnam and if it wasn't for this stupid school, Ford would have probably been sucked into the draft himself.
