Summary
In a reality in which Eva Duarte hasn't been murdered by Madoc and has agreed to return to Elfhame for the safety of her daughters, Jude and her sisters lead a slightly different life. Vivi is about to enter the Elfhame's Preparatory Academy, popularly known as the “Arena”, a place that has never accepted humans as students before. This changes, however, when Jude, who is just accompanying her sister on her first day, shows exceptional talent and ends up being accepted into the institution.
All Jude Duarte wants is a chance to improve her fighting skills so that one day she can be part of the Court of Elfhame as a knight. She realizes that this won't be easy, though, when she is forced to share a dormitory with the worst possible person: the sixth son of High King Eldred, Cardan Greenbriar.

Human Louis is a guest staying with Lestat's family. Louis goes with Lestat to kill the wolves.
Louis slides over him, pressing his mouth against the other man’s. Softening as Lestat moans. Licks into the slit of his lips. Pulling back, “You killed eight wolves?” Settling on his hips.
Lestat looks blissed out. “Mmm? Yes? Yes.”
“When you’re feeling well enough, I’m going to let you fuck me. Got it?”
Lestat moans again. “You- you,” he drops his voice, and it resonates deep in his chest, a little wetness in the sound (which makes Louis concerned), “You- k-keep t-t- toying with me.”
Louis takes care of Lestat when the wolfkilling is done; nursing him back to health. (both of them are human, and Lestat is very in awe of Louis)
