“This… this would qualify as a mental breakdown, right?” Triton asked, frowning over his shoulder to where Percy was still fuming in the corner. The lady at the counter curiously glanced over before lifting a questioning brow. “My brother – half-brother, technically, I have much better breeding – decided to run away from home to where our father can’t reach him and now he won’t leave. And now I can’t leave unless he leaves,” Triton continued. Percy opened his mouth to object that wasn’t what happened at all, but the tyrant only waved a hand to silence him. “He’s seen war or whatever, so if you could maybe just drug him then I’ll throw him into a suitcase and we can be out of here by the Summer Solstice!”
Silence. Finally, the woman cleared her throat and turned to Percy.
“I’m guessing he’s the one you want checked into the mental hospital?” She asked. Triton gasped as Percy punched the air in victory.
“Aha!”

Summary
Simon, a disgraced biomedical engineer, spends his time as a hermit, shut up inside his apartment during the day. His ideas and willingness to take risks have labelled him a psychotic recluse, as did the accident that took half his arm, half his senses, and the life of his lab partner and best friend. Stripped of his title, his funding, and his general standing in the local community, he moved across the country to escape. He cannot outrun his past. He is not well.
Enter Grace.
Ryland is an esteemed molecular biologist, his genius and ingenuity known throughout the nation- and one or two other countries, but he doesn't like to brag. Despite his numerous diplomas and published papers, he chooses to spend his time surrounded by the chaos of a classroom, trying to keep children engaged in the science and life of the world around them. The distraction is a welcome one after witnessing the death of his twin brother in a tragic work accident. Teaching his students quickly became all that he had. Placed on leave and unable to teach, he now has nothing.
The collision of their paths happens unceremoniously and spectaculary all at once in the midst of a musty gymnasium support group.
