Crowley and Aziraphale are very possibly the people least qualified, on the entire planet, to start up an advice podcast.
But what else is there to do when the world isn’t ending anytime soon, you’re technically on indefinite sabbatical from your lifelong careers, and you need a plausible excuse to spend more time with your best friend who you’re definitely not, absolutely not, maybe just a little, actually maybe overwhelmingly in love with?

Summary
After a less than lucky encounter with a witch, Dean is thrown back in time to 2008. Not only that, but he's also thrown into his younger self's body. Not knowing what to do, or how to get back, he decides to play along with what he thinks he did the first time around. Luckily, he's not the only one from the future. Cas is in the same boat, and they decide to do things right this time around; stop the apocalypse before it begins.
But changing the future is tricky business, and keeping it a secret from everyone else is hard when your brother knows you too well and you're in a time where descripting your relationship with said brother as having 'trust issues' doesn't even begin to cover it.
Will Dean and Cas save the world? And if they do, what will it cost them?

I cannot express how much I love this fic. The idiots in love combined with the slow-burn took some years of my life, but it was worth it in the end (it got me ranting to Josi). Deans internal struggle throughout the whole thing was GREAT. even if that one scene of Dean trying to apologise and, in his mind, saying all the right words, but in reality just making it worse, made me want to tear my hair out. While thinking about what has happened in the fic so far to try and reenter this universe after a short break from reading, i found myself mixing up the events in this fic with the one where Cas is sort of possessing Dean from the start (Contingency by Cheerful_Shinigami) for some reason. Both are great though, so

Summary
Two months after Dean is dragged to Hell, he crawls out of his own grave with a mysterious handprint branded to his shoulder. A strange being named Castiel claims that he pulled Dean early to stop the literal Apocalypse.
Now Dean must figure out a way to derail the divine destinies of him and his brother. They must find a way to stop Lilith without killing her, while all of Heaven and Hell want Dean back in the basement so The Plan can continue.
The only one in his corner is Castiel, but can this stupidly handsome stranger be trusted? After all, no one else but Dean can even see or hear him...
[AKA A S4 AU retelling with healthy brotherly bonding, tons of TFW feels, a very sweet slow burn, and Cas in a waistcoat!]

absofuckinglutely loved it. the word-building, the AU, everything, their relationship, omfg. I put this off for a long time, but boy was this GOOD. (i sense a pattern 🤔) it got me neglecting my school work (even though i’m in a heap of work rn). The slow but not slow-burn was FNATASTIC. The miscommunication actually getting resolved by communication? Hello??

Dean rose on his feet and moved to lie on the bed by Cas’ side while the man rolled onto his stomach and spread his arm on the bed, covering Dean’s body. Like every other night, it didn’t take long until Dean squirmed from beneath the peacefully snoring body and curled into a ball between Cas’ shoulder blades.
