Nevertheless, two of them set out with Thorin's company to reclaim Erebor. However, adventures, quests, life, and purposes are not easy; and during all of it Bilbo must prove himself to Thorin and the company, and Thorin must keep the company in line (Dwalin is causing problems with Nori, and that for sure wasn't helping Thorin). With the constant threat of goblins, orcs, thieves, elves, man, and Nori's old crime groups tailing them down, how far are they willing to change themselves to reclaim the dwarrow's homeland? How willing are they to let the other change them?

After a while they develop a tentative kind of friendship over the summer. Bruce isn't like anyone else that Clark knows, and he feels connected to him in all of his out of place-ness.
