Summary
Daryl Dixon is hungry. Not for food, but rather for the nasty little runaway working at his shop, Dixon Autobody, in exchange for housing and shelter from the cops. Alder wants him, that’s no secret, and it’s not like Daryl doesn’t want him back, but rather he can’t want him.
(Literally just an excuse for me to write about Alder being a slut and testing Daryl’s patience and self control. Please excuse my freakiness.)

Summary
Title is from “Kiera’s Song” by Blegh.
I wrote this a long time ago, and this will most likely be my last ever fic for the Call of Duty community. Consider this a bitter goodbye.

Or, after Simon Riley’s family is torn to shreds and the man responsible shot up in flames, he feels no more purpose include.
Until he finds out that one person wasn’t in that house. Ram Asmus, his step-brother that had been presumed dead since Roba got his grimy hands on him.
He’s got someone back.
A one-in-a-lifetime chance.
And he’s not letting this go.

Summary
The eggs tasted even better than they looked—fluffy and buttery with just the right amount of salt. Objectively, they were much better than any of the meals he had over the past five years. So why did eating them fill him with revulsion?
“Finney, what’s wrong?”
A tear trickled down his cheek, followed by several more.
“I—”
He swallowed. His shoulders trembled, and he sniffled. Unable to endure the alarmed concern in his father and sister’s eyes, he focused on the plate in front of him.
“I shouldn’t be here.”
And then that ugly, beautiful truth ripped through his skin like a shirt several sizes too small:
“I should be with Al. I want to be with Al.”
****
After five years of captivity, Finney Blake is finally reunited with his family. He agrees to testify against his kidnapper, but the wounds on his heart run much deeper than the ones on his body, and doing so might not be easy. But just because something isn’t easy doesn’t mean it’s not worth doing.

Summary
Months after the whole continent of Australia has been connected to the chiral network, Sam receives an urgent call while on route to finish a delivery. A disruption in the tar currents has been detected, and he is asked to investigate. With an uneasy feeling, Sam accepts the request and soon finds himself face to face with an old enemy, who should very much not be alive. Unable to ignore this turn of events, the crew members of the DHV Magellan are forced to take Higgs Monaghan into custody.

This work is canon-compliant as far as the main story of both games is concerned and takes place after the events of DS2. Anything that happens from here on out is me sprinkling my own salt onto the story the way I interpret these characters. Enjoy.

Summary
Soap chokes, splutters, his lungs burning as saltwater mingles with the blood in his throat. He coughs up the briny, metallic mixture, gasping for air as his body fights against the tremors that have taken over him.
“Come on, Johnny, don’t fuckin’ die on me,” Ghost’s voice is sharp, frantic, but there’s a crack in it—something raw and fragile that doesn’t belong with the usual unshakable confidence he carries. His breath hitches, but he doesn’t let go. Not once.
Soap’s head lolls to the side, his vision blurred by the salt in his eyes, the burn in his chest. He’s not sure if he’s still alive, or if he’s in some kind of limbo between the world he left behind and whatever comes next.
But Ghost doesn’t give him the luxury of drifting off.

Summary
“Might surprise you…” he starts, glancing toward Soap. “Sometimes I feel small too.”
Soap watches him, wide-eyed.
Ghost shrugs, like he’s not quite sure how to explain it.
“Doesn’t happen often. Or maybe it does and I’ve just gotten good at pretendin’ otherwise.” He huffs softly, almost a laugh, but not quite. “Sometimes it’s in the quiet after a mission. Sometimes when it’s too loud. When I’m so tired I can’t think straight, and everything feels wrong.”
His eyes flick over to Soap again.
“Feels like I’m not Ghost. Not even Simon. Just… some kid pretendin’ to be a soldier.”
Soap blinks at him, something flickering in his expression—recognition. Relief.
Ghost smiles, just a little. It’s small, but real.
“So if you feel small,” he says, voice warm now, almost like a secret, “you’re not broken. You’re not weak. You’re just… human.”
