Summary
What if, while Chimney was on the road trip to find Maddie, someone took Jee-yun? How long until he noticed? Minutes? A few hours? After he checked into a hotel that night? Several fics have him as not having custody, so this type of fic could be a kidnapping of a kidnapping.
Who took her? Mentally disturbed woman who lost a child? Good Samaritan who noticed a crying, abandoned in vehicle child, while the adult with her who ignored her, fed and watered himself only? Something darker? I'd prefer not darker, (absolutely no pedophilia), however I worked for a police communications unit for 16+ years. It's unfortunately a fact of life.
How is she found? Is she found? What are the consequences of her kidnapping to everyone else. Does she show up 10+ years down the line, happy, healthy, having done an genealogy test, finding Buck? Gravesite in the desert? She was too far gone to help? I don't know.
