"Shane Hollander" A distinctly accented feminine voice was the first thing Shane heard as he opened his eyes. Looking to his side at the sound of his name, he saw an undeniably beautiful woman. She had long blonde curls that had been tucked into two braids, sharp hazel eyes that seemed to lean more emerald in their current lighting, her heart shaped jaw softened her features and led to a defined cupid's bow. As she spoke, her lips turned upwards into a smirk that felt familiar to him deep in his bones. He tried to pinpoint who she reminded him of but it was like the more he tried, the harder it was to grasp. Why was she here at his hospital bedside? "He should be here soon, I am doing this for him. I am not a fan of yours." She continued, ignoring the questions that must be all over his face.
"Who--?" Before he could begin questioning the mysterious stranger, Ilya entered the room with his lips in a tight line, those beautiful eyes of his darting around Shane's face as if cataloguing each bruise.
OR What if Ilya Rozanov was a twin? What if one of the reasons he fought so hard to get into the NHL was to reunite with her?

“We just ask that you follow the neighborhood’s bylaws about how you display it.”
“Funny,” Ilya said dryly. “Putin told me the same thing.”
OR Shane and Ilya Hollander-Rozanov are a lot of things, including bitchy gays. As they put up with less bullshit in married life, their petty side shows more. Never come between a professional ragebaiter and his bitch wife.

Summary
It's the 2017 All-Star Game and Ilya Rozanov doesn't want to be there. After his not-a-break-up break up with Shane Hollander and his near death experience of a plane crash, he is more than embarrased to see the other man again. In his supposed last moments, he called the other man after all and said "I love you". Shane had had three words for Ilya, too. But they hadn't been the one's Ilya had hoped for.

Or: Ilya nearly dies and confesses his love to Shane. But that doesn't go over too well. Now, they meet again at the 2017 All-Star Game. They are both apprehensive - for different reasons.
