Summary
In an umpteenth time where he's going to check that everyone has had enough, or is having a good time, or if there's any problem they can tell, Akira feels two arms slip around his waist and pull him. He turns his head and sees Goro, with reddened cheeks, taking him and forcing him to sit on his thighs.
Akira blushes, expecting something indecent from the ex-detective, however instead, he feels Goro sticking against him and... sniffing near his neck.

With ten years having passed since last seeing one another, Akechi Goro and Amamiya Ren are reunited by chance thanks to the beauty of interior design and cafe renovation. This mechanism of fate, of course, is only really beautiful with one eye closed.

Goro let his gaze drift up, over the muted ceiling, and tallied the days since this started. Forty-two, if he was counting the mornings, which he was, because Goro would be a fool not to when Ren was peacefully resting next to him.
He wondered how long it would last before this peace ended. Good things were, if nothing else, consistent in that matter.

Summary
For one of the first times in his life, Akechi’s speechless. He knows what his old self would say—You couldn’t possibly understand how I feel, attic trash—but Akechi is tired. Tired of his old self swirling in his heart, full of rage. Tired of his “new” self poised in his mind, which is so stuffed with rationality and psychoanalysis that he’s nothing more than a cast off shell. He’s just fucking tired.
“Listen,” Akira continues. “Why don’t we just…start over? I know that might be difficult given what we’ve been through, but you came back here for a reason, right?”
Akechi almost barks out a laugh. Typical Kurusu, with the keen ability to read him so well. With the quiet charisma he begrudgingly admired. It tugs and pulls at his chest like a puppet on strings.
“You haven’t changed,” Akechi says.
Akira grins sheepishly, placing a hand on his neck. “Play me at chess, and you’ll figure out what has.”

“Shut up.” Akechi snaps again, as dismissively as the first time. He stands with his gun resting against his hip, pinches the bridge of his nose and shuts his eyes tight. “Shut up, I need to think.”

He realizes this when the castle that once loomed over Shujin Academy was gone post-Kamoshida’s confession. Gone yet replaced, by something larger. Darker. He is certain it holds the final piece he needs for his plans. All he has to do is recruit one lonely boy over to his side.
One misunderstanding later and Ren finds himself isolated at school. Burdened by the rumors of his own past-and-present actions. He takes the hand of someone unexpected.

Summary
Short fluffy one shots with the main theme being Hurt/Comfort. One is from Akira's POV comforting Goro, the other is Goro comforting Akira, and the first two fics are sort of set in the same verse.
Since I can't seem to stop writing Hurt/Comfort one-shots, though, any other fics are not linked unless indicated otherwise (or rather, left to your own imagination).
