Summary
How Izuku turned out the way he did was a bit of an enigma. Not personality-wise, or looks-wise, or behaviour-wise, but simply genetics-wise. Inko was an only child, so she had little point of reference, and her parents had both had more telekinetically inclined quirks; Hisashi faced a similar conundrum when the genetics of their babe came into question, he could breathe fire, his sister could exhale smoke, and Inko was sure that her mother-in-law could light small fires from the tips of her fingers.
So how, just how could Izuku have a ‘canine’ quirk?

“Well, let’s get this show on the road,” Peter clapped his hands and then rubbed them together once. “There’s a baby on the way as we speak that I’ve been waiting to meet.”
Sam’s face did something truly comical at that with the surprise and faint disgust mingling between his wide eyes and drawn brows.
“You-- I-- No way--”
“Ew,” Peter grimaced when he caught on to the confusion. “Not my baby, dude. I’m, like, fourteen.”
And with that, Peter strode out of the kitchen, hearing Sam mutter something to Natasha about hate your backup
as he went.*

“I thought you hadn’t talked to the kid recently,” he pushed back. “Twenty minutes ago you’re telling me you haven’t talked to the kid recently-- you can’t use the youth vote if you aren’t in contact with the youth.”
“Alright, so I’m dodging his calls--”
“He says that he’s the one dodging your calls,” Rhodey cut him off with a knowing smirk.
“So maybe we’re dodging each other’s calls,” Tony effortlessly pivoted. “Doesn’t matter, why’s it matter so much?”

Peter, hands stuffed in his pockets, seemed to face a moment of acceptance then, rather than the panic that Tony had been expecting. Although, a kid gutsy enough to have done what he did, to still be surviving after having lost as much as he had, maybe he was actually better under pressure than anywhere else.
“A denial would be offensive, right?” Peter asked simply. “To your intelligence and stuff?”

“They’re bothering you too?” Peter asked, grabbing the bottle of champagne off the table and taking a swig straight out of it like the germy little goblin he was.
“You want a glass for that?” Tony asked flatly. “Oh, underage boy in my home?”
“I had a run-in with Nat just this morning,” Peter continued on his own tangent, not letting Tony derail him. “You know, she is so cool and I wanna be her friend so bad-- but all she wants me for is my wacky DNA and my-- big, smart brain.”
“I’m sure the brain has very little to do with it,” Tony took the bottle out of his hands and wiped the lip of it off with his sleeve before setting it aside.
