Summary
He continued to stare.
A beast so beautiful, so regal bleeding out at Kim Dokja's feet. And though he might be an ancient spirit, one that has seen and lived through so much, it was in this moment that he was nothing more than a mere tiny fox, hungry and cold and greedy.
A tiny fox with a decision to make.
OR

Summary
It’s not like he thinks about Yoo Joonghyuk like that. No. Not at all.
Kim Dokja is brought out of his thoughts when he feels Joonghyuk shift in his arms. His gaze settles back on Joonghyuk’s face, and he watches as he slowly stirs awake. His eyes open slowly, still hazy with sleep; he blinks leisurely before he smiles down at Dokja.
“Mornin’,” Joonghyuk murmurs, voice rough with sleep.
Kim Dokja wakes up before he can even answer.
OR Kim Dokja dreams of Yoo Joonghyuk night after night, each dream peeling back another layer of his heart until he realizes he’s fallen far deeper than he ever meant to.

Summary
Unfortunately, thirty minutes into the party, his glass of mojito has nearly run dry, Sooyoung and Sangah aren’t here yet, and somebody slides into the seat next to him. He’s so absorbed in the webnovel he’s reading that he doesn’t even look their way, but then that person clears their throat, catching his attention anyway.
When Dokja does look up, three scenes pop up in his head:
- Han Sooyoung, earlier this week, saying there’s a limit to how much you can run away;
- Han Sooyoung, this morning, saying you’ll regret this; and
- Himself, two years ago in Toronto, saying, I don’t think I can do this anymore, Yoo Joonghyuk.
or: Kim Dokja's convoluted relationship with figure skating and Yoo Joonghyuk told through a love story that spans fourteen years.

Summary
Kim Dokja failed a scenario and the failure condition forces vulnerability. Enter Yoo Joonghyuk.
With roots from this, their relationship grows once the dust settles in an ending written beyond the scenarios. Recovery from an apocalypse doesn't mean automatic recovery from all the problems before it.Contains NSFW content, not the focus.
